Soaping Ingredients

THE BUTTERS

Avocado Butter is derived from the fruit of the Avocado Tree and hydrogenated to yield a green-tinted butter that is kissably soft with just a mild odor. Perfect for cold process soap recipes to create a knock-out, skin-loving soap.
Coconut Butter is naturally high in antioxidants, which not only prevent the skin from wrinkling, but also acts as a natural sun block, keeping the skin safe from the harmful Ultraviolet rays of the sun, as well as the pollution and other debris that can be found in even the cleanest of climates. Basically in short.....soap containing coconut butter protects your skin while making it look better.
Mango Butter is derived from the rain-forests of the world, the deliciously sweet fruit of the mango is full of moisture. Mangoes not only nourish the body internally, but they also provide skin with sweet treats. These include moisture, and vitamins A, C and E,which work to combat free radicals. Free radicals are found in the sun's rays and air pollution. When applied to the skin, mango butter has the ability to protect it from the sunburn as well as sooth sunburned skin.
Shea Butter is a skin superfood that comes from the seeds of the fruit of the Shea (Karite) tree and that is naturally rich in vitamins A, E and F. It offers UV protection (it is SPF ~6) and provides the skin with essential fatty acids and the nutrients necessary for collagen production.


THE OILS

Argan Oil has a very good amount of Vitamin E and many other nutrients that are great for the skin. Applying argan oil regularly on the skin can help to keep skin strong and healthy. It is a good antioxidant and reduces free radical damage. Studies have shown that it is a great Anti-Sebum, meaning it is great to use if you have oily or acne prone skin. 

Avocado Oil is rich in vitamins A, B, D, and E

Babassu Oil is rich in vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant that helps not only support existing collagen and elastin from damage caused by free radicals, it also helps stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin proteins, helping skin stay supple and radiant with fewer fine lines and wrinkles. Babassu is also packed with fatty acids, which help support the membranes between skin cells, reducing the risk of sagging. Fatty acids also help skin cells retain balanced moisture levels, so skin looks more plump and youthful and is less prone to breakouts due to its natural anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties. Additionally, Babassu is naturally cooling thereby making it a great after-sun exposure treatment.

Caster Oil behaves like a  humectant, meaning it draws moisture from the air onto the skin. It is a powerful moisturizer and provides tremendous nourishment in several ways by acting as a catalyst in the production of collagen and elastin – two proteins being in charge of maintaining skin elasticity. By this way, castor oil helps remove age spots and delays the development of wrinkles and fine lines. 

Coconut Oil is extremely cleansing and produces big, copious bubbles.

Hazelnut Oil easily penetrates the skin tissue, keeping the skin soft and elastic. Hazelnut oil is rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids. It is a mild astringent that can help tighten pores and regulate the excretion of oils produced by the skins glands.

Flaxseed Oil is wonderful for rough, dry skin conditions. It can help to turn flaky, irritated skin into smooth, hydrated, healthy skin.

Grapeseed Oil is extremely rich in beta-carotene and vitamins D, C, E and is absorbed quickly and you are left with kissably soft and smooth skin. It effectively moisturizes the skin, balancing both dry and oily patches and when used as a toner, grapeseed oil can penetrate blocked pores and cleanse breakouts. It is believed that it can promote the restoration of collagen at the cellular level, making your skin feel more firm and minimizing more signs of damage. 

This oil is beneficial for people with sensitive skin who experience reactions to other types of oils. The antioxidants in grapeseed extract have been touted to safeguard the elastin and collagen in your skin, which also fights off the aging process.

Hempseed Oil include antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that protect against aging. Hemp is the only plant oil that contains vitamin D which is a key ingredient for beautiful looking skin. Skin is the best way for vitamin D to get where it needs to go in the body and by doing so promotes full body healing and raises melatonin levels. Vitamin E, also present in hemp oil, boosts skin’s UV defense and neutralizes damaging free radicals. Skin elasticity, collagen and water retention capacity are also increased by hemp oil. The high levels of omega-3 fatty acid content directly treat skin conditions and acne and will not clog pores.

Jojoba Oil is non-greasy, light weight and  has anti-inflammatory properties making it an ideal ingredient to use for treating acne-related skin problems. Jojoba oil's similarity to sebum allows it to absorb easily and readily into your skin, making it a gentle, skin-softening moisturizer for all skin types.

Olive Oil is rich in antioxidants vitamins E and A which can help you look younger by fighting free radicals, keep your skin feeling supple and even calm irritation. Olive oil soap is hypoallergenic, so you are less likely to experience an allergic reaction when using it.

Rapeseed Oil is rich in Vitamin E and K which assist to protect the skin from free radicals, reduce wrinkles and fine lines. It is also helpful in controlling blemishes as well as keeping the skin nourished and softer.

Sunflower oil is rich in vitamin E, which acts as an antioxidant in the body. Vitamin E is specifically related to improving skin health and regenerating cells. This means that your skin is better protected against damage from the sun, as well as the natural degradation of age that occurs when free radicals are present in the body. Antioxidants like vitamin E neutralize free radicals, keeping them from destroying or damaging healthy cells. You can see an increased reduction in scars, quicker wound healing, and a healthier natural glow to your skin. In soap it produces a lather that is incredibly conditioning to the skin.

Sweet Almond Oil is one of the best oils for hair and skin care. It has got lots of nutrients and beneficial properties. excellent moisturization property. Walnut Oil is high in antioxidants, this emollient oil has been known to condition and moisturize skin. It is high in omega-3, fiber, protein and vital minerals including potassium, magnesium and copper. This oil has been recommended to fight wrinkles since at least the seventeenth century. (10)

THE NATURAL ADDITIVES

Pink Ultra Ventilated French Clay is a combination of red and white clays. It is considered to be the mildest of all the clays and works well for normal, sensitive and mature skin types. Its unique composition includes Kaolinite, Iron, Illite, Montmorillonite and Calcite. 
French Pink Clay can be used to cleanse and detoxify the skin, remove dead skin cells and create and overall refreshed appearance. It can also be used to treat acne and other skin ailments; poor blood and/or lymph circulation and sun damaged skin. It is most widely used in cosmetic manufacturing. 
Yellow Ultra Ventilated French Clay is made up of fine mineral particles and iron oxides which determine its color. It contains iron, but no aluminium. It is a very mild clay that can be used on dry or sensitive skin. 
French Yellow Clay is considered to be a powerful detoxifier which draws out impurities from the body while the essential minerals within the clay are released. It stimulates the circulation of blood and lymph, removes dead skin cells, and tones & strengthens connective tissues to leave skin smooth, fresh & radiant. 
French Green Clay absorbs and removes impurities from the skin, stimulating blood flow to create healthy and glowing skin. When prepared as a mask, the clay dries on the skin causing pores to tighten and the skin to feel firm, toned and refreshed. French Green Clay can be used in poultices to treat arthritis, sore muscles, and sprains; in ready-to-use pastes for application to cuts, bruises, insect bites, stings, and minor burns; and mineral baths for stress relief. It is suitable for all skin types. 

French Kaolin Clay is the gentlest of the various facial clays available making it perfect for sensitive skin types. Its gentle absorptive properties do not over-dry or pucker the skin during use yet it’s still quite effective for pulling impurities to the surface and gently stimulating circulation to the area of application. 

Black Australian Clay contains great iron and oxygen properties, making it very popular. It is a non-toxic mineral with cleansing and conditioning agents, particularly good for nourishing the skin.

Reef Red Australian Clay is deal for dry, sensitive skin, Red clay delicately replenishes and heals tired skin cells. With its rich mineral content Red clay enhances the skin's condition and appearance, especially when stressed or tired.
